When do you bill prepay advertisers?

Print

With the AdWords prepay option, you pay for your advertising upfront. You make a payment first, then run your ads and accrue costs until your funds run out. We'll simply deduct your advertising costs as you accrue them.

Your ads run almost immediately after we receive your payment. Then, we'll deduct the cost of clicks (or impressions for campaigns with CPM bidding) on your ads. Your ads will continue to run as long as there are adequate funds in your account.

If your account runs out of funds, your ads will stop running until you make another payment. We'll send you an email reminding you to make a prepayment seven to ten days before we estimate that your account will run out of funds. We'll send you another email if your account does exhaust its balance. See our prepay help to learn how to make a payment depending on your payment method.

If you are a postpay advertiser (if you pay after your ad runs and accrues charges), visit When do you bill for postpay?
