How do I view or update my network distribution settings?

Print

You can edit your network distribution on the Settings tab at the campaign level. Here's how to do it:

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at http://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the name of the campaign you want to adjust.
  3. Once you're in that campaign, click the Settings tab
  4. Click the Change campaign settings link, and scroll down to the section labeled 'Networks, devices, and extensions.'
  5. Click Edit next to 'Networks,' and select the 'Content Network' option.
  6. Click Save.

Here is a summary of the network settings you can choose from:

Search
On the Search Network, your ads may appear alongside or above search results, as part of a results page as a user navigates through a site's directory, or on other relevant search pages. You can choose to run only on Google search or on Google search and our search partners.

Content
On the Content Network, ads are targeted automatically to the content and URL of each page. You can decide among two ways to run on the Content Network:

  1. Opt to run your ads across the entire Content Network, using keywords for contextual targeting on automatic placements (and managed placements if you add them).

  2. Opt to run ads only on managed placements (individual placements in the Google Content Network where you'd like your ads to appear). In this case, adding keywords to your campaign is optional, but keywords will help refine your ad targeting. (Placements don't affect the Search Network.)
