"Search terms" report

The "Search terms" report allows you to see every user search query that triggered your ad. Whether your ad is triggered depends on the search term a web user submits when searching on a site within the Google Network and your keyword match settings.

To access the "Search terms" report, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.com.
  2. Click the name of the campaign you'd like to edit.
  3. Select the Keywords tab.
  4. Select one or more keywords, then click the See search terms button to generate the report. (You can generate a report for only selected keywords, or all keywords.)
  5. You can add one or more of the keywords as they appear, or add them as a negative keyword to ensure your ad stops triggering for that keyword. You can also download the report.
