The "Networks" tab shows you detailed data about both the search and content networks.
A "Networks" tab appears at three places in your account: On the "All online campaigns" overview screen, on the main screen for each of your campaigns, and on the details page for each of your ad groups.
On all three levels, the tab shows you a simple summary of results from the search network, including clicks, impressions, and other key numbers. You'll see rows for both Google search and search partner sites.
On the campaign and ad group level, you'll see the same summary plus a full summary of the content network. This starts with two rows: one for managed placements (those you choose manually) and one for automatic placements (those chosen based on your keywords). These rows show basic stats for all the placements in these networks.
Click Show details in either row and you'll see a full list of all placements in that ad group or campaign. The data is divided into two sections: managed placements and automatic placements. Each section includes these columns:
- Placement. The URL of each placement. Click any placement to edit it. In the case of automatic placements, the "Placement" heading is replaced by a "Domain," showing the overall URL of the site where your ad was placed.
- Status. The current status of this placement. "Eligible" means your ad can appear on this placement. Placements may also be marked as paused or deleted.
- Ad Group. If you're looking at the "Network" tab on the campaign level, this column will appear to show you the ad group each placement is part of.
The same placement may appear several times on the "Network" tab on the campaign level. That indicates that the same placement is used in more than one ad group or campaign. (The names of the ad groups or campaigns are listed next to each placement.) Note that the same placement may perform quite differently in various ad groups or campaigns, depending on differences in bids, ad text, and so on. - Bid. The bid for this keyword. If you have made an individual bid, it will be listed here. If not, the default bid for the ad group will be listed here. Click any bid to edit it.
In the upper corner of the "Networks" tab you'll see pull-down menus reading Last 7 Days and Tab Options. These allow you to filter the results shown, either by date or by performance criteria. For instance, you can set the tab to show only content placements with a clickthrough rate (CTR) of over 1%.
When looking at the "Networks" tab, you can add placements by clicking the + Add Placements link near the top of the "Managed placements" section.
