The Keyword Analysis field tells you two things about each keyword in your account:
- If the keyword is triggering ads and, if not, the reason why
- A breakdown of the keyword's Quality Score
I. How to access the Keyword Analysis field
To view the Keyword Analysis field for any keyword, follow these steps:
- Sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.com
.
- Click a campaign.
- Click an ad group.
- Select the Keywords tab.
- Click the icon in the Status column next to any keyword.
II. How to use the Keyword Analysis field
The first section of the Keyword Analysis field tells you if your keyword is triggering ads and, if not, the reason why. For instance, it might tell you that your cost-per-click (CPC) bid is below the required minimum. (The lower your Quality Score, the higher the required CPC bid.)
The second section shows the keyword's Quality Score detail, which is a representation of Quality Score on a scale of 1 to 10. The following three aspects of the keyword's Quality Score will be rated:
- Relevance: How relevant your keyword is to the ads and other keywords in its ad group. If your keyword is graded 'Poor,' try altering your ad group so that it's tightly centered on a single product or service. See our optimization tips for help.
- Landing page: The quality of your landing page. If your keyword is graded 'Poor,' try adjusting your landing page so that it complies with our landing page guidelines.
- Landing page performance: How quickly your landing page loads. If your keyword is graded 'This page loads slowly,' try improving your load time.
Working to improve any aspect that's received a low rating will likely improve the keyword's Quality Score.
