When performing a search on Google, there are usually two main types of results: site listings and AdWords ads.
Google AdWords ads appear under 'Sponsored links' in the side column of a search page, and may also appear in additional positions above the free search results. If you're not already an AdWords advertiser but would like to show ads here, please visit the AdWords homepage.
Google's free search results appear as links in the body of a Google search page. Please note that your participation in AdWords won't affect the ranking or inclusion of your site in the Google search index.
