AdWords Help

With the carrier targeting feature, you can choose which mobile carriers' users will see your mobile ads. Depending on the carrier you choose, you can create operator-specific messages in your ads (e.g., "Ringtones for X Mobile Carrier") or display your ads only on carriers that support your ads' landing pages.

To begin using carrier targeting, follow these steps:

For ads opted in to show on mobile devices with full internet browsers:
  1. Sign in to your Google AdWords account.
  2. Navigate to the campaign you want to select for this feature.
  3. Click the Settings tab, then Edit Settings.
  4. Click the current setting under 'Networks.'
  5. From the "Networks and Devices" section click the Edit links to select specific carriers or devices on which you'd like your ads to show. You can choose to show your ads to users on all mobile carriers, or target certain ones depending on your preference.
  6. Click Save to finish.

For mobile text or image ads designed to appear on Internet-capable mobile phones and mobile devices that use mobile browsers (also known as WAP browsers):

  1. Sign in to your Google AdWords account.
  2. Navigate to the ad group you want to select for this feature.
  3. Click the Ads tab.
  4. Either click the pencil that appears when you hover over your ad if you're adding the feature, or select New ad > WAP Mobile Ad if you haven't created a mobile ad yet.
  5. On the Create Mobile Ad page, click Advanced targeting and network options. This will expand to reveal a menu of mobile carriers for you to choose from. You can choose to show your ads to users on all mobile carriers, or target certain ones depending on your preference.
  6. Click Save Ad to finish.

Please note that the option to select specific carriers isn't offered in all countries. Below is a list of countries where this feature is currently available.
