Ad not showing on the first page: What can I do?

Ads are positioned on search pages based on their Ad Rank, which is influenced by your bid, auction-time measurements of ad quality, the Ad Rank thresholds, the context of the person's search, and the expected impact of ad formats and assets. The ad with the highest Ad Rank appears in the first available position, the ad with the second highest rank appears in the second position, and so on (assuming each ad meets the minimum Ad Rank required to show). Improve your ranking

Have no fear! There are several steps you can take to raise your Ad Rank and improve your chances of appearing on the first page of search results.

  • Focus on finding successful keywords. Create specific keywords that are directly relevant to your ad text and landing page, as these will help your campaign more than general keywords. Using multiple words can make your keywords more specific. Learn more about building an effective keyword list, and get new search term ideas from the Keyword Planner.
