Fix issues with ads not showing in some locations

Advanced location targeting options let you limit your ads to show only to people in, searching for, or showing interest in the locations you've chosen in your campaign settings. If an ad doesn’t show for someone, that person’s physical location or location of interest may be outside of your targeted area.

This article describes how to check that your ads show for the locations you want to target.

Instructions

  1. Follow the steps to diagnose multiple keywords or use the Ad Preview and Diagnosis tool.
  2. Check that the location is set to the area that your campaign should target. For example, if your campaign should target customers in California, choose “California, United States” as the location.

If your campaign is set to a different location, you’ll see a message saying that your ad isn’t showing. You may want to review and fix the location targeting settings for your campaign.
