Do I need to give my MCC manager special access for Website Optimizer?

Yes, you do.

My Client Center (or MCC) is a tool that lets one manager handle multiple Google Ads accounts. MCC is often used by large companies with many accounts, or by advertisers who hire someone else to manage their Google Ads advertising for them.

If your Google Ads account is being managed by a someone else using My Client Center, the standard MCC access won't be enough to let them run Website Optimizer on your account. You'll need to give them separate access to see and edit your Website Optimizer experiments.

Here's how to give your manager the right access:

  1. Sign in to your Google Ads account.
  2. Click the Reporting tab, then select Website Optimizer from the drop-down.
  3. In the center of the next page, below your experiment list, click the link titled My Client Center User Access.
  4. Enter your MCC manager's email address in the field provided. Click the Add button.

Note: If you haven't yet created your first Website Optimizer experiment, you'll see a Get Started link when you click the Website Optimizer link in step 2. You'll need to click that link and approve the Website Optimizer terms and conditions before you'll reach the page with the My Client Center User Access link.

If you manage your own account, you won't need to use the My Client Center access feature.
